These terms apply to your use of this website. Last updated 15 October 2026. Our services are provided under a separate agreement, described below.
Who we are

Using this website
By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it. We may change the website and these terms from time to time, and the date at the top shows when they were last updated. Please check back occasionally.
General information, not advice
The articles, guides and tools on this site, including the fire safety quiz, give general information to help you understand fire safety duties. They are not legal, engineering or other professional advice, and they do not create an adviser and client relationship between you and us. Laws, standards and guidance change, so what we say may be out of date by the time you read it. You remain responsible for your own compliance with fire safety law. For advice on your building, please ask us for a quotation or take advice from a suitably qualified professional.
Our services
Information about our services and training courses on this site is a description, not an offer, and course details such as length and group size may change. Our services are provided only under the terms set out in a written quotation or agreement that we both accept. Where those terms and these website terms differ, the agreement for the service applies to that service.
Enquiries and files you send us
When you send us an enquiry or upload a floor plan, you confirm that the information you give is accurate as far as you know and that you are allowed to share it. Please do not send anything unlawful, offensive or harmful, or any file containing a virus or other malicious code. We may refuse or delete anything that we think breaks this rule. We use your information as set out in our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
You must not use this website to do anything unlawful, to try to gain unauthorised access to our systems or anyone else's, to overload or interfere with the site, to send automated or spam requests, or to copy large parts of the site by automated means.
Our content and other people's logos
The text, design, images and other content on this site belong to us or are used with permission, and are protected by copyright and other rights. You may view the pages and print or download extracts for your own use or for your organisation's internal use. You may not copy, republish or sell the content, or present it as your own, without our written permission. Logos and names of certification bodies, professional bodies and other organisations on this site belong to their owners and are shown to identify our accreditations, memberships and clients. Nothing here gives you any right to use them.
Links to other websites
We link to other websites, such as government, standards and certification bodies. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.
The client and staff portal
The portal at portal.myfire.co.uk is for authorised clients and staff only. You must keep your sign in details private and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used them. Use of the portal is also subject to any terms we give you when your account is created.
Availability
We try to keep the website available and free of errors, but we do not promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted or error free, and we may suspend or change it at any time without notice.
Our liability
We take care to keep the information on this site accurate and up to date, but we do not promise that it is complete or current, and the website and its content are provided as they are. We are not responsible for losses you suffer from relying on the general information on this website instead of getting advice about your own building.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to limit or exclude. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, business or goodwill, arising from your use of the website. If you are a consumer, your legal rights are not affected.
Governing law
These terms, and any dispute arising from your use of this website, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the UK where you live.
