Everyone should know what to do in a fire.
Fire spreads fast, and the first minutes depend on what people already know. This course helps staff understand the risks, their legal responsibilities and what to do, so a safe response is the normal one.
It builds a proactive safety culture across a team, and works well as the first step before Fire Marshal or Fire Extinguisher training.
What you will learn
- Fire prevention: how fires start, what fuels them and how to reduce ignition risks
- Emergency procedures: safe evacuation, the role of fire wardens, assembly points and helping vulnerable people
- Fire types: the fire triangle, classes of fire and which extinguisher suits each
- Legal responsibilities under the Fire Safety Order, as an employer, employee or service user
- Fire safety equipment: doors, alarms, extinguishers and detection systems
